OCt. 25th-Nov. 26th 2018 Reporting Dates

Ongoing reports for statewide, district, and county candidates, and committees

1.C-7 reports (Late October through Nov. 6th)

-Statewide candidates: Report all contributions of $200 or more that are received from October 17 th through November 6 th. All contributions must be reported in CERS within 48 hours.

District and county candidates: C-7 report must detail all contributions of $100 or more that are received from October 20 th through November 6 th.   All contributions must be reported in CERS within 48 hours.

-Statewide political committees: C-7 report must detail all contributions of $200 or more that are received from October 17 th through November 6 th. All contributions must be reported in CERS within 48 hours. 

2. C-7E reports (Late October through Nov. 6th)

- Independent (PAC’s), political party, and non-statewide incidental committees (statewide ballot committees are exempt from filing C-7E reports) : C-7E reports must detail all expenses of $500 or more that are incurred from October 20 th through November 6 th.  All expenses must be reported in CERS within 48 hours.

October 25th, C-6 reports due

- Independent (PAC’s) and party committees that didn’t give to a candidate: C-6 report will detail all expenditures and contributions for the time period of September 28th-October 20th.

October 27th: The Clean Campaign Act's 'fair notice' period begins (Oct. 27th-Nov. 6th)

The 2007 “Clean Campaign Act” requires that candidates and committees provide opposing candidates with copies of new campaigns ads if the opposing candidate's image or name is referenced in ads in the 10 days prior to an election. The copies must be provided at the time the material is published, broadcast, disseminated, or otherwise made public. This law applies to print, digital, and broadcast campaign materials.

There are some exceptions to the "fair notice" period. If material has already been published or broadcast before October 27, 2018, or the material does not identify or mention the opposing candidate, the materials do not have to be shared with the opposing candidate.

October 29th: C-5 and C-6 reports due

1. C-5 reports

-All county and district candidates and committees must file a C-5 report. If you are a county, municipal, and school candidate that designated yourself a 'C' box candidates on the C-1A, you are required to fill out a C-5. The C-5 reports must detail all contributions received and expenditures made by a campaign from October 2nd-24th.

2. C-6 reports

-Independent (PAC’s) and party committees that gave to county or state district candidates, and incidental committees that gave to a state district candidate: The C-6 will detail all expenditures and contributions for the time period of October 2 nd through October 24 th .

November 1st reports due

1. C-4 reports

-Incidental committees that gave to a statewide candidate or committee: The C-4 must  cover the dates of October 18 th -October 27 th

2. C-5 reports

- Statewide candidates: The C-5 reports must detail all contributions received and expenditures made from October 18 th through October 27 th.

3. C-6 reports

- Independent and party committees that gave to statewide candidates: The C-6 report must detail all contributions and expenditures from October 18th-27th.

November 26th reports due

1) C-4 report

-I ncidental committee that gave to a statewide candidate or committee: The C-4 must  cover the dates of   October 28 th – November 21 st.

2) C-5 report

-State district and county candidates, and committees: A C-5 report detailing all contributions received and expenditures made by a campaign from October 25 th through November 21 st.

-Statewide candidates: A C-5 report detailing all contributions received and expenditures made by a campaign from October 28 th through November 21 st.

3) C-6 report

-Independent and party committees that gave to statewide candidates: A C-6 report detailing all contributions and expenditures from October 28 th-November 21 st.

-Independent and party committees that gave to county candidates: A C-6 report detailing all contributions and expenditures from October 25th -November 21st.

- Independent and party committees that did not give to any candidates: A C-6 report detailing all contributions and expenditures from October 21 st through November 21 st
